Focus-Directed Writing™ is a work in progress. It is not a clinical therapy, but a personal writing technique. As such, there has been no research into this technique, nor has efficacy as a THERAPEUTICALLY useful tool been established.
Each and every one of us can write about our lives and experiences at any moment. Our journeys are our own; to explore, to decipher, to overcome, to celebrate. As Focus-Directed Writing continues to evolve and more people engage in the process, the technique will improve.
In time, I am confident that clinical studies will validate Focus-Directed Writing as a mainstream therapy. I believe from from personal experience that it is useful for those who experience anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, Autism, Borderline Personality Disorder and Tourettes Syndrome, and many other state of being.
